Power Meters

Digital power meters measure voltage, current, real power, apparent power, power factor, frequency, energy, and harmonic content across single-phase and three-phase AC and DC circuits — the bench instrument for power-supply characterization, motor-drive efficiency analysis, solar-inverter test, and energy-consumption measurement. The UNI-T catalog covers single-phase 600 V and 1000 V meters in the UTE310 and UTE9800+ series, plus three-phase UTE323 high-precision meters for multi-load efficiency work. Harmonic analysis through the 50th order is available on the UTE310 and UTE9811+ variants. GPIB variants drop into legacy IEEE-488 automation.

Decision: Which Family Do You Need?

UTE310 — Precision Single-Phase

600 / 1000 V, µA–A
Best for: R&D bench, energy efficiency characterization, low-current standby measurement, harmonic distortion analysis, transformer and motor testing where current and voltage span many decades. Current resolution down to 0.1 µA and voltage to 600 V or 1000 V class. Four models: 310 (600V), 310G (600V + GPIB), 310H (1000V), 310HG (1000V + GPIB).

UTE323 — 3-Channel

3 channels, poly-phase
Best for: 3-phase motor and inverter testing, balanced load characterization, simultaneous independent measurement of three sources, comparative single-phase work. Same accuracy class as UTE310 in a three-channel chassis. Two models: 323 (standard), 323G (+GPIB).

UTE9800+ — Compact AC Panel

AC line monitoring
Best for: production line metering, energy monitoring on AC mains, factory floor and plant-room work where a slim chassis matters, hardwired installation behind a panel. Three models by voltage and current rating: UTE9802+, UTE9806+, UTE9811+. AC-only operation.

Recommended Configurations

R&D · Single-Phase Precision

Choose: UTE310 or UTE310H

Pick by voltage ceiling: UTE310 (600 V) for low-voltage electronics and standby power work; UTE310H (1000 V) for line-voltage equipment, EV chargers, and inverter input characterization. Add the G suffix if your bench is automated and you need GPIB.

3-Phase Motor / Inverter Test

Choose: UTE323 or UTE323G

Three independent channels measure all three phases simultaneously without channel switching. Calculate poly-phase total power, balance ratios, and efficiency directly. UTE323G adds GPIB for ATE racks.

Production-Line Energy Monitoring

Choose: UTE9802+ / 9806+ / 9811+

Compact AC panel meters for hardwired AC monitoring on factory floors, plant rooms, or any installation where a slim chassis matters more than full DC/AC composite capability. Pick the model that matches your voltage and current rating.

Power Quality & Harmonic Analysis

Choose: UTE310H or UTE323

Both precision families provide full harmonic FFT to the 50th order with THD, individual harmonic amplitude, and crest factor measurements. Single-source: UTE310H. Three-phase system: UTE323. The compact UTE9800+ panel meters do not provide full harmonic analysis.

Why Choose UNI-T Power Meters?

Microamp resolution on the precision line

UTE310 and UTE323 resolve current down to 0.1 µA. Standby power measurement, leakage characterization, and low-bias circuit work all fit on the same instrument that measures full-load conditions — no second meter, no probe change.

True 3-channel benchtop

UTE323 is a single chassis with three independent measurement channels — not a multiplexed front end. Three phases captured simultaneously, with no sampling skew between them.

AC, DC, and AC+DC under one instrument

Precision UTE310 and UTE323 measure pure AC, pure DC, and composite AC+DC waveforms. Switching supplies, inverter outputs, and battery-backed circuits don't need a mode change at the panel and a separate instrument.

5-year warranty

Three years standard plus two free with registration on every benchtop meter. Longer than the 2-year and 3-year warranties typical at this price tier.

FAQ

What's the difference between UTE310 and UTE310H?

Voltage range. UTE310 (and UTE310G) measure up to 600 V class. UTE310H (and UTE310HG) measure up to 1000 V class. Same current resolution, same accuracy class, same harmonic analysis. Pick by what voltage you measure: low-voltage electronics and standby work fits inside 600 V; line-voltage three-phase, EV chargers, and inverter input circuits typically need 1000 V headroom.

Do I need the G (GPIB) suffix?

Only if you're integrating into an existing GPIB-based ATE rack or running automated test fixtures that use IEEE-488. Every UTE310 and UTE323 already ships with USB-Device standard, and LAN is supported on the precision line. If your automation strategy is USB or LAN, save the cost on the G option.

Can a UTE9800+ panel meter replace a UTE310 on my bench?

Only if your work is AC-only line monitoring and you don't need DC, AC+DC composite, full harmonic FFT to the 50th order, or microamp current resolution. The UTE9800+ family is engineered for production and energy-monitoring deployment, not R&D characterization. If you're choosing between the two for an R&D bench, the UTE310 is the right answer almost every time.

How accurate are these meters?

Accuracy varies by parameter, range, and family. Precision UTE310 and UTE323 are calibration-class instruments suitable for laboratory reference work; UTE9800+ panel meters are production-grade. Check each individual model page for the basic voltage / current / power / power factor accuracy specifications, including frequency-dependent terms where applicable.

Does the 3-channel UTE323 work as three independent single-channel meters?

Yes. The three channels are independently configurable for range, mode, and integration time, and each channel reports its measurements independently in addition to the calculated 3-phase totals. You can run three unrelated single-source measurements on one chassis, or three related phases of a poly-phase system. The trade-off versus a single-channel UTE310 is voltage ceiling: UTE323 covers 600 V, the UTE310H is the choice when you need the 1000 V class.

What software ships with these meters?

PC application included free for data logging, configuration management, harmonic visualization, and remote control. SCPI command reference is published on the product page and supports any third-party tool that drives the instrument over USB, LAN, or GPIB.

What's in the 5-year warranty?

Parts, labor, and return shipping for 3 years standard plus 2 additional years when you register the instrument within 90 days of purchase. Calibration is a separate service.
